Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern all purchases made through the True Royalty website. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not place an order.
1. About Us True Royalty is a limited edition art business based in England and Wales. Our website is hosted on the Shopify platform. Contact: david@trueroyaltyart.com
2. Formation of Contract Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. A legally binding contract between you and True Royalty is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. An order confirmation or payment receipt does not constitute acceptance. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion — including where a product is unavailable, where payment cannot be verified, or where we reasonably believe an order is fraudulent. In such cases, any payment taken will be fully refunded.
3. Pricing and Payment All prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable UK VAT where relevant. Prices are correct at the time of display. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before accepting an order. We accept the following payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club, and Union Pay, as available at checkout. By submitting payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that all details submitted are accurate.
4. Product Descriptions and Accuracy We take all reasonable care to accurately describe and photograph our products. However, you acknowledge that: Colours and finishes as displayed on your screen may differ from the physical artwork due to variations in screen calibration, monitor settings, and ambient lighting. This applies in particular to aluminium dibond, acrylic mirror, lenticular, and LED products, which exhibit different visual properties under different lighting conditions. Such variation is inherent to the medium and does not constitute a defect. Handmade products, including our wooden perforated frames, will exhibit minor natural variations in grain, texture, and finish. These are characteristics of handmade craftsmanship, not defects. Product images are representative. Actual appearance may vary slightly due to the bespoke production process.
5. Limited Editions and Numbering All True Royalty limited edition artworks are individually numbered as part of a defined edition size (typically 250 pieces unless otherwise stated on the product page). Each piece carries a unique edition number. We cannot guarantee a specific edition number unless you make a specific request at the time of ordering and we confirm in writing that we can accommodate it. Edition numbers are assigned at the time of production. Once an edition is sold out, it will not be reproduced. The edition size stated at the time of purchase is final.
6. Intellectual Property All artwork, designs, images, photography, text, and content on the True Royalty website and in our products are the exclusive intellectual property of True Royalty and are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws. The purchase of a physical artwork confers ownership of that physical item only. It does not transfer any copyright, reproduction rights, or other intellectual property rights in the artwork to the buyer. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, sell, publish, or otherwise use any True Royalty artwork or content in any format — physical or digital — without our prior written consent. Unauthorised reproduction may constitute copyright infringement and will be pursued accordingly.
6A. Pop Culture Artwork — Disclaimer of Affiliation Certain artworks available on the True Royalty website are original artworks inspired by popular culture, including works that reference the likeness, image, or public persona of well-known individuals such as celebrities, musicians, athletes, and public figures.
All such artworks are original creative works produced by True Royalty. They are not official merchandise and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by, or officially connected to any individual depicted, or to their management, representatives, record labels, estates, or any associated commercial entities.
No representation is made that any depicted individual has authorised, approved, or is in any way connected to True Royalty or its products. The use of any likeness is purely artistic in nature and is intended as an expression of popular culture, not as a claim of any commercial relationship or official association.
All rights to the personal likeness of any individual depicted remain with that individual. True Royalty makes no claim over any individual's name, image, or likeness beyond the original artistic expression embodied in each work.
7. Cancellations As all products are made to order, cancellations are not permitted once production has commenced. If you contact us before production has started, we may at our discretion agree to cancel your order, but this is not guaranteed. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details.
8. Limitation of Liability True Royalty's total liability to you in respect of any claim arising out of or in connection with your order shall not exceed the price paid by you for the specific item(s) to which the claim relates. We are not liable for: indirect, special, or consequential loss or damage; loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, or business opportunity; damage caused by your misuse of, or failure to follow care instructions for, the artwork; delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (see Clause 9 — Force Majeure). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Force Majeure True Royalty shall not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, civil unrest, industrial action, fire, flood, extreme weather, disruption to transport networks, or delays by carriers or customs authorities. In such circumstances, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and will use reasonable endeavours to fulfil your order as soon as conditions permit.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. We always encourage customers to contact us in the first instance to resolve any dispute informally. Please email david@trueroyaltyart.com and we will respond within 5 working days.
11. Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement These Terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Returns Policy, and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and True Royalty in relation to your purchase and supersede any prior representations, agreements, or understandings.
13. Amendments We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Amendments will not affect orders already placed and confirmed prior to the amendment.
14. Consumer Rights Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have as a consumer under applicable UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, to the extent that such rights cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
